Welcome back!

Yep, I'm blogging again.  I've restarted and revamped my blog for several reasons:

1. It gives me something fun to do over winter break.
2. I'm hoping to phase out my involvement on other social networking sites (that's you, Facebook).
3. Lots of cool things are happening in my life!

For those of you who haven't heard, I recently accepted a position at a software company in Seattle!  I've very excited about it, but don't plan to talk about it much here except to say that even though I am an employee of Company X, my views are mine alone and don't reflect the views of Company X in any way.  I'm leaving the company anonymous so that if I choose to make comments about the tech industry, I can make them freely.

So if I'm not going to write about my job, what am I going to write about?  For the next couple of months, it will probably be about the planning stages of the move to Seattle, along with more mundane stuff like forays into cooking, enjoying the outdoors and making the most of my last semester in Madison.  After that, it'll be a lot like my travel blog, covering the move and getting used to the city.

For now though, this is all I've got.  Bye!
